Learning Together for Life

Class 1 - Dinosaur Adventure Park - 25th January 2017

As part of our dinosaur topic this term we planned a visit to the dinosaur park. Class One from both Runcton Holme and Wormegay travelled to the park, near Norwich and wrapped up warm in our coats, hats, scarves and gloves. The day might have been frosty but there was excitement in the air and both children and staff alike were looking forward to exploring the park and learning more about the dinosaurs we encountered.

We started the day with a trip around the maze, playing the bongos and crossing the rope bridge, giving us our first encounter with the dinosaurs. We quickly moved onto the dino world and went searching for the t-rex, we followed the rangers instructions and kept our eyes and ears open for the giant dinosaurs. Mrs Waterson was pleased when she got to see her favourite dinosaur, the stegosaurus and Mrs Witt posed for a picture with her favourite, the triceratops. We managed to spot all three t-rexes and moved onto the farm barn and reptile encounters.

After a trek back up the hill past the mammoths, sabre toothed tigers and early man, it was time for lunch. A welcome rest in the warm of Dippy’s dinner and then on to use up the last of our energy on the play park – climosaurus and the giant t-rex favoured features by the children.

A quiet trip back on the bus to school with sleepy, happy children and staff was the end to our super day. Now for the recounts of our exciting adventures.
