Learning Together for Life

Class 3 - Ely Cathedral Day - 11th October 2016

Children from Class Two at Wormegay and Class Three at Runcton Holme took part in Cathedral Day at Ely on Tuesday 11th October.  The theme for tor this year was Climate change.  The children rotated around workshops where they learnt about: A Visit to Vellore, Come rain or shine, Toilet twinning, Christian Age and A Safe Place to call Home.   The children learnt about many different aspects of climate change and its effects through  the practical aspects of the workshops.  The day culminated in a collective worship with the other 500 children from other visiting school led by the Bishop.  Between sessions the children completed the autograph hunt and interacted with all the other children in an attempt to collect all the different words.

Each of the children took a message for Parliament expressing their thoughts about climate change and their effects.  These have been delivered to MP Lucy Frazer, who will deliver these.  We returned to school with a prayer written by another school to use during our school collective worships.
