OMNES Games - Basketball Festival - 29th September 2016

On Thursday 29th September, as part of the OMNES games, Mrs. Wykes and Mrs. Oughton took a team from Runcton Holme and another from Wormegay to Lynnsport to take part in a basketball tournament on Thursday 29th September.

Here they joined three other schools; Whitefriars, The Woottons and ……????  In learning the skills, rules and tactics of basketball. They learnt how to dribble, pass and shoot as well as mark and find space.  Each team played each other in half court games, taking it in turns to attack and defend the hoop.

All the children worked hard, made good progress and had a really enjoyable time throughout the afternoon, although a special mention should be given to Harrison Brant, Joanne Graham and Alisha Froud from Runcton Holme and Harry Fysh who was a strong player on the court making some good passes. Mason who got stuck in too despite his size disadvantage and didn't give up and scored and Ellen was very good at chasing and hassling the other team to get possession from Wormegay all of whom showed particular promise..

Teams:

Runcton Holme

Harrison Brant, Joanne Graham, Amy Dawes, Emilija Domeikaite, Daisy Catton, Jac Eaglen Alex Caley and
Alisha Froud.

Wormegay

Harry Fysh, Mason Desborough, Molly Cloudesley, Tayla Murray, Tegan Carter, Ellen Jenner and Josh Groves.
