Harvest Festival - 13th October 2017

On Friday 13th October the children of Runcton Holme walked to the Parish Church for our annual Harvest Festival service. A sea of yellow could be seen as the children walked through the village aided by staff and parent volunteers.

The service was blessed by Father William and led by the children. Elves class read their thoughts of autumn and poems about fall leaves, and finally reading their versions of the Creation. Pixie Class recited a Harvest Poem and sung the Little Red Hen song with actions.

A selection of favourite hymns including Autumn Days, Cauliflowers Fluffy and the Millennium Prayer were sung by the congregation with enthusiasm. A collection was collected by two pupils during the service and totalled £90.35 in aid of the East Anglia's Children's Hospice and blessed by Father William.

A great big thank you goes out to all those who donated food items prior to the service. All donations were given to the food bank in Downham Market Food Bank by the Friends of Runcton.

Many thanks for all your kind donations and help given.
