Alive Active Mile - Wednesday 23rd September

Today the children and staff took part in the Alive Active Mile to celebrate National Fitness Day, all children completed one mile and more during the day. The classes at Wormegay both walked to Craven Lane, to achieve their one mile. Class one at Runcton Holme took part in a YouTube one mile walk and class two completed 8 laps of the school field, walking, jogging and some even running!

Thank you to Frances Rayner (Community Development Manager at Alive West Norfolk) who donated pedometers to the school from the Downham Games, these were worn by staff and children for the day. Approximately 2000 steps equals 1mile, several miles were clocked up throughout the day.

The feedback from this day was very positive, one pupil asked if they could do an extra lap of the field, pupils asked to carry on using the pedometers for the rest of the week. Several pupils asked if we could reintroduce the Daily Mile at Runcton Holme as soon as possible.

It was lovely to see everyone taking part.
