As part of our Geography and History topic this term we explored our village, walking down to Hill Estate, looking at the type of houses and the materials the houses are made from. We enjoyed a healthy snack in the bus shelter before trekking down Craven Lane to Tottenhill church. We saw a variety of wildlife on our walk – deer in the woods, buffalo in a distant field and a close encounter with the daddy buffalo.
We enjoyed spotting the changing seasons as we strolled along, crunching the acorns, watching the orange leaves fall as the rain dislodged them. The autumn showers made us a little damp but the trees shielded us from most of the raindrops.
The children and adults were quiet during lunch and ready for the re-fuel and all engaged in English and maths in the afternoon with focus.
Thank you to all of the staff and children who made our morning productive and enjoyable.
