Lockdown! We have put together a program of learning to extend and challenge our children this term. We have made a few changes to the proposed plan but have tried to provide opportunities to learn and explore in all subjects across the curriculum.
In English we are writing to entertain and will be learning about traditional tales, stories with familiar settings, acrostic poems and writing in character (letters and postcards).
Maths will follow the White Rose scheme and we will make use of the instructional videos to support learning at home.
Our Science focus will be sound - we have lots of exciting experiments planned - watch out parents you might need ear defenders, remember it is all in the name of learning!!
In History we will explore the Kings and Queens of the past.
Art and Music will be cross curricular and will develop skills with paper - both dying it and folding it and in Music developing our understanding of pitch and how sound is made and how we can change it.
We will think about financial wellbeing - what it means to be poor, where our money comes from and can we have everything we want...?
Miss Thorne has put together a program of events for PE and we look forward to sharing these with you.
We look forward to sharing in Children's mental Health week towards the end of the half term.We can't wait to see your smiling faces on zoom, remember we are just an email (email@example.com) or phone call away so if you have any questions please get in touch.
Take care and thank you for your support
