The class consists of Key Stage 2 children from Years three, four, five and six.

As a staff, we work alongside each other in a flexible way to support and teach the children in our class in a variety of different ways. We aim to liaise with each other and with parents as effectively as possible to promote the welfare, happiness and learning progress of the children in our care. To this end, we welcome the input of parents as well. You have many talents and skills which could help us in enriching the school experience of your children – please feel free to talk to us if you feel you can support us in anyway. Similarly, if you need to talk to us at any point, either catch us on the playground at either end of the school day, or if you need longer, please call at the office to make an appointment.
This year the class is made up of eight Year six children, and two Year fives. In Year four we have four children and there are twelve in Year three. We like to work in lots of different combinations, depending on what we are doing. Sometimes we work within our year groups but we also mix ourselves up so that we can share our skills, knowledge and interests! We pride ourselves on being supportive and kind to each.
This year we will be doing lots of exciting things together, some of which are already in the pipeline and some we have already taken part in, such as the Hautbois residential trip for year three and four and the Young Voices concert in the Spring term. Others have yet to be planned, but will support and enrich our work across the curriculum.
This year is a very important one for year six, who have their SATs in May. There are a multitude of study guides and practise papers available from Stationery shops or online, should you wish to purchase them to support your child’s learning.
Our topic for the Summer term is Ancient Greeks, children need to remember that spellings and Tackling Tables need to be worked on and learnt each week and daily reading.
We hope that this year is a happy, productive and successful one for everyone in class two – staff and children alike!
