In Class One, we like to explore and have fun. Lots of our learning is hands on and we will be using our Rainbow Challenges to encourage children to make choices in their learning, challenging their thinking and fostering independence.
Mrs Waterson and Mrs Witt enjoy supporting the learning of the children in our small class. We love to sing and use song to help us learn facts and routines. We have access to a small outdoor area and the children enjoy exploring the activities on offer out there, especially when the sun is shining (or the snow is falling!)
We love to share home learning and encourage the children to read with their grown-ups at home and be creative with their home learning challenges if they wish to.
This term we are focusing on responsible consumption and production, the children will develop an understanding of where in the world their food comes from, which food groups our food is from, why we create food waste and what we can do to reduce this. We will be exploring everyday materials in Science and living long and living strong in PSHE. We hope to have some exciting events during the term – sharing a teddy bears’ picnic is just the start.
